I recently deleted Win 7 Antivirus using malware and spyware programs. In my notification area icons they are?
still there...how do i delete them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will these icons remaining on my computer still make the virus come back?

I just reinstalled my computer because it was missing boot manager... or sumtini used to have Kaskpersky but the 1 year thing is over. and i got that for free with the pc... and idk who still pays for any PC related software... unless its like a business corp or some mac crap....so what are some good free programs?i've been doing some google work but there are a lot of options i was thinking malwarebot and spybot and Avast or Microsoft essentialsand im running windows 7. i5. dell.

Okay, Norton keeps popping up and getting in my face, presumably to sign up for their paid service via a free " trial." Is there an anti virus I can get for free that works well?And what about anti spyware?

I have recently bought a new toshiba laptop and i have had numerous spyware programs come up, I have been told that some spyware programs can give you viruses so i have been careful what i have done. I have been told by one program that there are 20 viruses or something like that and i have just exited out of them and i just used the one that said windows and that only said that my laptop had deficiencies and i got them removed fixed and i have McAfee coming up all the time and it says that firewall protection is on and that there are no threats detected but its wants me to download " McAfee web protection" sould i download or not??Thnxx a heap in advance And i'm also using windows 7 if that gives any further info

I am looking for a spyware program I can use, not an anti spyware or anti virus program. There is no way to disable incognito mode in google chrome and I want to be able to see what exactly is being looked at by other people on my computer. Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware Program Failing?
So, for the past three months my uncle's three year old laptop has finally begun acting up. Most of the problems have been easily fixable but there is one at the moment that I have no clue how to solve, as I'm not that computer savvy. Anyways, the problem is is that I have installed and uninstalled at least four different anti virus anti spyware programs as, after installation, they work fine until about the second third time of starting up my computer where suddenly it stops working and my computer becomes unprotected. I would love to know what is wrong and how I can fix this so I can start protecting my uncle's laptop and hopefully keep it running until I start college and can buy my own.
