I downloaded spyware doctors to remove pc optimizer pro when i ran the program it says i have 16 threats and 648 infections which is possible cuz ive had the optimizer virus for a while. Will it be safe to buy and will it work with so many infections.pc removal tool told me i had about 2000 infections and 84 threats. ive gotten answers that say its true and others that its a scam who should i believe

I have tried spyware doctor and it wants me to buy it i also dont want stopzilla. I also have malwarebytes which finds the virus but cant remove it just quarantines it. Anything that will help ill try.
Anyone having a problem with spyware doctor scanning or can offer advice with this problem i am having?
i use the free version from google pack and have been using problem free for the past few years until this morning i ran a scan and it keeps getting stuck on the same file marked smss.exe which i found out is apart of windows, i've never had any problems before and have everything up to date but every time i run a scan it gets stuck on scanning the same file until it resets and try scanning again, as i use the free version i am unable to query or even feed back the makers without buying the full version which i don't need as already have anti virus and firewall so if anyone can offer any advice fixing this or can feed back this problem to pctools for me would be great even if just to stop spyware doctor from popping up with new scan every 5mins as keeps closing my game window, i run mcafee full security suite from bt so i don't think is any kind of virus, it just appears to be spyware doc getting stuck scanning the same file and keeps starting over.
Spyware doctor won't open?
My spyware doctor won't open. It's icon is still in the toolbar and it says it's running, but when i try to open it a pop up appears that says " Missing shortcut pctsGui.exe, browsing for file" . this just started and never happened before, the only other virus program i have is AVG and it has never had this problem before.
Vista Internet Security 2012 Virus Spyware Doctor?
I'm completely stuck this virus Vista Internet Security 2012 has hit my computer and I entered a registry code I found online to stop the pop ups. I tried installing Spyware Doctor to get rid of the virus but it kept closing the window after it was just about to start installing. Now I have it installed but spyware doctor says I need to update it in order to scan. When I try to update it the button doesn't work like it won't click when smart update is there and I can't even open the spy doctor window because the update doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and installing it many times and no luck please help I've tried many guides online but I don't know how to manually remove the virus .
