How can I get rid of antivirus spyware?
I feel like a hostage. There are 4 different warnings that keep popping up, telling me my computer is being attacked by an internet virus. it's identified as Security Alert. I already have antivirus protection. I need to get rid of this. So far, I've had to delete at least 30 unwanted pop ups. I can't do anything til I have all of them deleted because my screen freezes up. I just delete one and another one pops up seconds later. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME. THIS IS MADDENING

Good FREE antivirus/spyware needed please?
I have just had to restore my computer to it orginal state due to a bad virus " trojan" . I was using AVG which someone recomended to me but well it didnt' work. I was good for a short time a couple of months i guess. I had a friend tell me the same thing happend to him. He downloaded AVG and it work real good for a couple of months then his computer got infected and it crashed. Caught mine before i crashed though thank goodness. I have children who use the computer on a teen and he had the virus corrupt his term paper file. I really need a good FREE antivirus and spyware. Please help.Thank you all very much for your input. i have downloaded Microsoft essentials but hmmm there is another problem. Every one tells me that i need an antispyware program well it won't let me down load any without taking out the virus protection on all i have tried now what. HAHA always something with the wonderful world of computers..lol..

Good antivirus/spyware/malware for my old computer?
Currently I have the free version of superantispyware installed. though that does not offer realtime protection and i would have to think i have a virus to have reason to scan. My computer is a dell latitude laptop with windows 2000 professional. The hard drive is 4.53gb with 1.50gb available. I cannot quite tell how much RAM there but i would assume due to the age of the computer, eleven years at the least it would not be much. What are good antivirus spyware malware programs that will not kill what remains of my hard drive, wont slow down my computer, as it is already very slow from age and offers real time protection with a high dectection rate so that no viruses can slip past?I am 16, have no job, no money, no credit card, nothing.I live with my mom who despises computers and did not want to get me one, but realised with winter coming here in michigan that I cant be always riding my bike 6 miles 3 to get there, 3 to get back home everytime I require the internet for homework.As far as she is concerned, if i get a virus, oh well, use a free anti virus. but she does not realise that this free antivirus wont tell me when i get a virus.Bottom line, mom wont get me a good antivirus. I dont want to pirate an anti virus because when I did that for my uncle who no longer speaks to me I had the hardest time pirating superantispyware upgrade and found AVG easier to pirate. but people say AVG sucks.
